Field recording

The movie Field recording underlines the relationship between culture, nature and art, present in artificial plants.

We, humans, build a world exempt of nature. Exempt of plants and insects: the ground is covered by cement; our houses are boxes of cements. We build and artificial world in which we behave, dream, work. Surprisingly or not, in this world, the image of nature is over present: it is used almost as much as the image of women sexuality to make us feel alive, to make us feel calm, to make us buy a screen showing the image of nature. In our heads we cultivate the idea of nature, the love for nature, while in the same time using this image to build more artificial objects (fake electronic palm trees in the middle of a moll; TV screens showing natural landscapes). The fact that everyone can flee, through headphones or screens, this artificial material world, makes this artificial world possible. I live in a different place than here, in my ears.
